A Venetian organic glass sculpture vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.
Made in the sommerso technique.
Common characteristics include a distinctive star shaped base, hot worked curled and cut out "maple leaf" shaped rim, and colours that fade from dark to pale or clear.
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, scratches according to age and use.
Impressive in size, impressive in shape and impressive in color. Everything about this vintage Murano vase is right. It has a base from twisted glass, which ends at the top in pointy glass spikes in the shape of leaves. The color is gradient going from blue to purple and pink.

The centerpiece is in very good condition with slight signs
of use underneath (scratches). We have not seen any cracks,
chips or repairs.

'EL SEMILLA A LA VIDA' Marino Amaya
Marino Amaya (Spanish 1928 - 2014) 'El Derecho A La Vida' (The Right to Life), patinated bronze arms and hands holding an removable aluminium egg, opening to reveal a removable bronze baby, bears signature M Amaya, upon a rectangular black marble base, together with a 'El Derecho A La Vida catalogue with Marino Amaya.
Condition: Good, with minor wear to black marble base, minor scratches to egg, wear to catalogue. Marino Amaya was born in Astorga, Leon in 1928, he received his first commission as a sculptor at the age of 15 years when he sculpted a statue of the Apostle Santiago in white stone. Acclaimed to have sculpted over four thousand works in his lifetime.
