He uses mixed materials like oil wax on paper.
The work is signed by a round stamp (off-right center).

Educated at Sint-Lucas in Ghent and husband of painter and graphic artists Moniek Gheysens.
Desimpel's works often seem to contain messages of secret imagery, signs and symbols that portray an atmosphere of mystery.

Pair large Val Saint Lambert table lamps.  The crystal is gracefully twisted and the clear color give it timeless elegance.
Original label is present on one of the lamps. The design is from 1953. The lamps are hollow on the inside which gives them a delicate appearance.

Early Anglepoise lamp by Herbert Terry & Sons. This particular model is the tallest and features
a round lacquered lampshade, long adjustable arms and a cast iron base.
The same lamp was produces for Hermes but the base was covered in leather.
